There's a heatwave in the UK and London is nearly unbearable on the really hot days. So last week my friend, her kids and I got up super early and got in the car and drove southwest. Lots of Spotify playlists later we arrived at West Wittering Beach in West Sussex, and it was bliss.
We spent the whole day on the beach, swam for hours, watched Sweden get beaten by England in the World Cup and swam some more. I had the camera with me so I just had to have a little photo shoot on the beach, it was impossible not to! I love photographing kids in a setting like this - the beach is great for photos, the light and the colours of the sand, the sky and the sea are irresistible, and the kids love it which ensures photos that are relaxed and natural. Last summer I did a few shoots on beaches near London for clients and those were the best working days by far!
