A SPRING CHRISTENING CEREMONY

I'm travelling back and forth to Sweden for work (and family visits) a lot this spring, and one of the lovely jobs I have done so far was a christening ceremony in the church of Gamla Uppsala - the oldest part of Uppsala, famed for its Viking king graves. There has been a church on this site since the 9th century, and the church of today was commenced in the 10th century. It was an honor to get to photograph a ceremony there and the day was sunny and crisp, with the promise of spring just round the corner.

The ceremony was beautiful with a lot of music and little E behaved impeccable during the ceremony and didn't cry once.

Following the ceremony there was reception nearby and little E's mother had baked the most amazing cookies and cakes for the guests. It was such a great day and such a pleasure to be there and capture it all.
